Screelings are.... well.... one of those creatures you just don't want to run across. They're messengers of the Underworld, and you'll normally hear them before you see them. Characterized by a hideous, mad giggle that sounds like a demented hyena - they are amused by everything and are rarely quiet. Their skin's black and always peeling cause it's basically burnt.... real attractive. They're efficient too, razored nails caps their fingers and their mouths are filled with needle-like teeth. Just back away and let them pass, unless hungry, they won't attack unless they see a threat. (But I've also seen them cut through a crowd of innocent people like a hot knife through butter... so you never know) Sort of guard dogs, if you will.
