they met at the yearly Renaissance fair in the fall of 2000

at the joust, a man sat near them..... an intriguing, gorgeous man. that man was William Dorsey.

several days later Chloe recieved word her son was finally moving to ShadowDrift, and the decision became final the pair would move in together to raise Danny as a family, and as she raced to tell him the news of her sons immenent arrival at the end of the week, a man sat smoking on the steps of Lebens a few blocks down the road from his apartment building. he heard her cries of glee, he saw their shared kiss, he invited them in for a mug of coffee to celebrate the good news.

again, that man was William "Angel" Dorsey.

they went to the club that night, continuing their celebration of Chloe's happiness.... but something pulled him back to Lebens, he avoided going home, he avoided for a few more hours the fists of his father, he went back to Angel. they sat, up into the hours of dawn's light, avoiding the sun's rays by mere minutes..... Angel spoke of his secrets..... his fears.... his losses.... as did the young, shy man who opened up that night to this almost stranger.

somewhere, in that long night laced with cigarette smoke and whiskey, a bond was formed between the two men.

he did not go home until the following night, and was met by what he feared most, limping back to Lebens with a split open face and mangled hip..... he never went home again, moving in with Angel, starting his job at Lebens, starting his new life with Chloe and Danny.

months passed, and the relationship with his father improved.

on Christmas Angel proposed, they looked foreward to a Civil Union in Vermont because gay marriage was still unapproved in the state.... then what they feared above all else crept into their lives.

Scarecrow tasted of Angel and became ghouled........ and HIV+.

there was only one way they knew of that would save him from the same fate of Angel's last lover, the man he contracted AIDS from, and for whom Lebens is named.....

on the night of the first day of spring, March 22, 2001, in Arlington Vermont, Jonathan Morgan and William Dorsey were joined before family into a civil union. then in the early hours of the morning, when the night was darkest though the fires in their hearts shone brightest, Angel Embraced him, joining them for eternity.
